Vintage Restoration Framework

RESTORATION PROCESS

Some of our success came from finding what we call "gems" laying around on the streets, that are not appealing to the eye but have a massive amount of potential. We have multiple approaches when we first spot a vehicle and the bottom line is trying to find a vehicle that is rare and can be restored.

Classic vehicles that sit around too long could mean a total over-haul, which tears the vehicles structure down to the frame. We have the most talented staff that are very capable of finding parts all over the world, in order for us to match the classic vehicle down to the bolts and nuts.

Our awesome team members also have the ability to recreate the frame work of the vehicle, which is important when rust and over painting is present. Other vehicles only need cosmetic items and our guys in the shop get a kick out of being able to create new looks with a vintage flare.

ENTER THE SHOP

Once a vehicle is brought to our shop from a customer, we have a three step process, that we follow very carefully. We stick to our process because we try to keep the restoration cost down and it eliminates unnecessary downtime for the project.

  1. The first step is to disassemble the vehicle, examine all of the parts and create an inventory for all of the items that make up the car. Next, the vehicle moves to our skilled craftsman team and they are the group that recreate the traditional look that the vehicle once had. After, the craftsmen are finished, we take the vehicle over to the engine and mechanical team and they decide how much to rebuild or destroy.

  2. The second step is as important as the first because the customer is always interested in the beauty of the vehicles interior. Our upholstery group accesses the vehicle and then decide where they will order materials to match the original vehicles finishes. They can also take the existing materials and bring them back to life.

  3. The third step is where our body guys spend a ton of time on the details. We ensure that every panel or mount is straight and free from scratches or imperfections. If we have one thing that is out of place, we will fix it, which could take us all the way back to step one, depending on the severity.

THE PAINT JOB

The paint group spends a good amount of time removing everything from the vehcile before beginning their process. If you want a professional grade paint job, taping around the fixtures isn't the way to go. Also, if a customer wants a custom color, fancy patterns or any irregular designs, this is the group that's always up for the challenge.
